A List of Extreme Sports for Extreme Fitness

Extreme sports have become a mainstay in our everyday lives. With the advent of the X games and the addition of sports such as snow boarding in the Olypmics, these extreme activites are only gaining momentum.

So what is the definition of an extreme sport? Also called action sports and adventure sports, they are activities that are perceived as having a high level of inherent danger often involving speed, height, high level of physical exertion, highly specialized gear or amazing stunts.

Although these extreme activies have a bad wrap for being dangerous, if they are practiced properly, they can provide a safe and amazing total body workout. Activities such as indoor rock climbing provide the thrill and intensity of climbing without the worries of falling and hurting yourself.
