The fewer chemicals you put on your body, the better you will feel. A three day juice fast may help cleanse the liver, the blood, the kidneys, and other organs of toxins. After consulting with your doctor, drinking fruit juice and vegetable juice for three days, followed by a mild diet afterward can help detox your body. Herbal supplements also help to reduce toxins. There are body cleansing supplements available at health food stores. The products are safe and effective with easy to follow instructions. Stress contributes to the build up of toxins in the body by slowing production of the liver’s natural cleansing enzymes. Reducing stress with lifestyle changes, including yoga or meditation can help relieve stress. Changing the way you deal with life stressors can also help reduce the level of toxins in your body. Deep breathing exercises help reduce stress reaction and the build up of toxins in the body. Emphasize positive emotions and reduce those things in your life that cause stress. Practice relaxation techniques like breathing or closing your eyes and meditating even for a few minutes can help. Many people find relief from stress and help their bodies reduce toxins by visiting a sauna once or twice each week. Many toxins are removed from our bodies by perspiration. Mild to moderate exercise will stimulate the body’s natural detoxification via perspiration and increased liver function. A hot shower followed by a short cold shower will open the pores and stimulates the skin to release toxins from your body. Proper diet that includes fresh fruits and vegetables, reduced process food intake, mild to moderate exercise, and reduced stress all contribute to detox your body and help you feel better.
