Weight Loss Ideas - How we rewire our body's ability to regulate food intake. The following Weight Loss Ideas article was submitted by Cari Corbet-Owen of ditch-diets-live-light.com. The weight loss ideas I'm going to shed with you here revolve around being body-wise when it comes to eating and exercising according to what your body needs.Weight loss without pills and crazy eating or exercising plans is achievable once you know how. All you need is the ability to listen to, hear and then respond to the 'voice' of your body. Fortunately these are tools that we were born with - our job is just to uncover them once again. There are four things I find in common with people who struggle with losing weight:
Weight Loss Ideas to do with Eating It strikes me that no matter which part of the globe I'm giving my ditch diets live light workshops in - I always get the same answer to the following question: "How many of you breastfeed mothers could overfeed your babies?" Consistently women tell me they were not able to. That their baby would either fall asleep, spit out the breast or close their little mouths. Neonates do this because they (as are we all) have an inborn appetite monitor. Once upon a childhood we didn't have to bother about portion control because we knew when we were hungry, we knew when we'd had enough and when it was time to stop eating. But that inbuilt portion controller gets eroded in many different ways. Parents want their children to eat for plate size rather than tummy size which means that children are coaxed and bribed to eat more. That's what all those parking cars or open your mouth wide so the train can go through the tunnel games are about. Children don't want the extra food - but they do want the game to continue and so they'll eat beyond what they need to and they learn that this pleases their parents. And it doesn't end there, food is used as a reward, to stave off boredom, to heal hurts - and all those things teach us that food isn't just fuel - no, it soothes and can make life feel better! If we still had our ability to eat to fuel our body's and no more, we'd have a lot fewer problems! Weight Loss Ideas and Exercising When we were children being inactive was something we chaffed against, it wasn't a chore, it was fun, it was play. And even when we were still in our 'hotel womb' our little legs and arms were moving. So how did it happen that being active has becomes so difficult for so many adults? Important role models don't play - they drive cars, take escalators instead of stairs and moan about having to exercise. And children get into trouble (or even get put onto medication) for being too active and often they're praised for sitting still and playing quietly. How different would your life be if you never lost your love of activity? And how do you suppose that would that impact on obesity levels around the globe Weight Loss Ideas and Passion As children life was something to be curious and enthusiastic about. But sadly, busy adults didn't always give our enthusiasm for small things a lot of positive reinforcement. They may even have laughed off our ideas and the things we felt passionate about. . And now, as adults many of us are busy being busy, so busy being busy that all we fit into our lives are the running around things. And what gets left out are the things we could be passionate about. When that happens our lives feel hollow and empty... and so often mindless eating is an attempt to fill and fill that emptiness with food. But when your lives feel full from the inside, you won't need to and fill ourselves from the outside.
